Join us for our Mad Science–themed Summer Tech Camp Expo! Our brilliant campers have spent the summer creating exciting, hands-on tech projects inspired by the wonders of science—and now it's time to show them off! This special event is your chance to: Explore creative student-led inventions and experiments Meet the young minds behind the projects […]
Welcome to the Electronics Junior Radio Academy! We're excited to offer hands-on workshops designed specifically for students in grades 6 through 12. These engaging and educational sessions will introduce participants to the fundamentals of electronics and radio communication in a fun, supportive environment. Workshops will take place after school on weekdays and on Saturdays! 👉 […]
Start your journey into electronics by learning how electricity flows and what components like resistors, capacitors, and LEDs actually do. You’ll also get hands-on experience with using tools such as multimeters and soldering irons. By the end of the session, you'll create a basic electronic project that you can take home.
Start with the fundamentals of Arduino hardware. You’ll learn what a microcontroller is, how to wire up circuits on a breadboard, and how to upload your first simple code using the Arduino IDE. Projects may include blinking LEDs, basic buttons, and simple sensors.
This session takes it up a notch. Learn how to connect and program motors and sensors like motion detectors or temperature sensors. You'll combine code and circuitry to make a small interactive system—like a fan that turns on with a clap or a sensor that lights up LEDs.
Take apart the mystery behind radios—literally! In this workshop, you’ll explore the components inside an FM radio and assemble your very own working model. Learn how radios receive and convert signals into sound, and experience the thrill of hearing stations you built the tech to receive.
