To promote economic development in the California cities of Bell, Bell Gardens, Commerce, Cudahy, Huntington Park, Maywood, South Gate, Vernon, and unincorporated Walnut Park.

History

History

The Southeast Community Development Corporation (SCDC), a non-profit organization, was incorporated in April of 1994 and was conceived from the realization that serious social and economic problems existed in the Southeast’s eight member cities.

Southeast Health Coalition

Southeast Health Coalition:

SCDC administers the Southeast Health Coalition which focuses on increasing education, public awareness, and advocacy efforts regarding major community health issues, such as, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, HIV, cancer, and children’s health issues. The mission is to reduce the health disparities in the Southeast area.
